Poetry- Becoming a Nobody

This was written in honour of a dear friend of mine. Natalie you were never alone.

Becoming a Nobody

Close those eyes and bite

A bit harder

Indifference creeping

Hands violent pressing

…silent aching

Arch an eyebrow

Smile, baby, smile

Clatter of dishes falling

Backing away

Concealed

‘Whatthefuck girl’

Bumble and fumble

Starry-gazed and lying

Light a smoke and lose yourself

In the ashes.
